02 / The faces behind Snoose

Not stock dogs.
Our family.

Snoose is our playful word for a dog's snoot — that soft nose. It began with Mikey and Leo here in Arizona, and grew to include the dogs we carry with us.

These are their portraits. Yours begins with your photo.

05 / Before you begin

A few
good questions.

Something else on your mind?
Message us through Etsy. We’re happy to help.

Ask us a question
What kind of photo should I send?

A clear, well-lit phone photo where we can see your pet’s eyes is a lovely start. Eye level works best. Send another photo if they have markings on the other side. After you order, send your photos in Etsy Messages, not email. Please use photos you took or have permission to use.

Will I see it before it prints?

Yes. We send a digital proof in Etsy Messages. Reply to approve it or tell us what needs changing. Small tweaks are free, and one full redo is included. We don’t send your order to print until you approve.

Processing begins only once we have your photo and your approved proof — not at checkout alone.

Are the portraits hand-painted?

No. We use AI image tools to create portraits in our house styles, then a person reviews and corrects each proof. We check markings, eye color, ears and expression against your photo. These are custom digital portraits, not hand-painted originals. You approve the proof before anything is printed.

Can you work with an older or memorial photo?

Yes. Take your time choosing it. Older photos are welcome; we’ll tell you honestly if a photo is too blurry to get the face right and ask for another if needed. Let us know it’s a memorial piece, and share any name, dates or short wording you’d like included. We’ll keep the tone respectful.

Can you put more than one pet together?

Yes — even from separate photos. Send one photo per pet. The add-on is $8 for two pets, $15 for three, or $22 for four. Check the listing or message us before ordering so we can help you choose the right option.

Dogs aren’t the only ones welcome. We can also work with cats, horses, birds, rabbits and reptiles.

How long does it take, and who makes the piece?

We aim to send your proof within 24–48 hours of receiving your photo. After approval, printed pieces typically take 2–5 business days to make, then 3–7 business days to ship in the U.S. Timing varies by product, destination and season; the Etsy listing is your guide.

Our print-on-demand partners make and ship the physical pieces from their facilities. You’ll get tracking when it ships. These are made to order, not held in stock.

What should I know about Christmas orders?

Please order printed pieces by December 6 and approve your proof within 24 hours. Custom work needs time for the photo and proof before printing. Delivery dates aren’t guaranteed, so tell us about a hard deadline when you send your photo. If time is short, ask us about a digital portrait instead.

What if I need to change or return my order?

Message us as soon as you can, ideally before you approve the proof. Once a custom piece is in production, changes usually aren’t possible. We generally can’t accept returns for a change of mind, a size chosen incorrectly, or an approved design.

If your piece arrives damaged, has a print defect, or doesn’t match your approved proof, message us within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number. We’ll coordinate a reprint or refund as appropriate.
